Town of medieval pattern and its history goes back to the 12th century. The most important landmark is the baroque Benedictine monastery standing on the basis of medieval castle. The local cemetery is place of well-kept wooden Church of Virgin Mary, the oldest building of its type in central Europe.

Broumovske steny (sandstone ridge - 15 km from the pension)

Several kilometers long sandstone rock ridge sharply rising from the Broumov basin with fascinating rock formations. The top of the ridge is a place of old and significant pilgrimage point called Hvezda (The Star) with baroque chapel built according to the design by K.I.Dietzenhofer and there is also a stylish tourist shelter hut.
